Step Up for Students – PEP Enrichment Series

After-School & Personalized Education Enrichment Program

The MPOWERME PEP Enrichment Series is an engaging, hands-on enrichment program designed for students participating in the Parent Empowerment Program (PEP) through Step Up for Students.

This in-person program provides structured learning experiences that support academic growth, creativity, collaboration, and skill development in a small-group setting.

Students participate in a rotating series of hands-on activities that explore engineering, coding, music, and visual art, creating a balanced enrichment experience that supports multiple learning styles.

Program Format

The PEP Enrichment Series operates on a four-week rotating theme cycle, with each session lasting 1.5 hours.

Programs are led by Learning and Developmental Specialists, with activities designed to support a wide range of learning styles and interests.

Program features include:

✔ Maximum of 10 students per session
✔ Hands-on project-based activities
✔ Collaborative learning experiences
✔ All materials included

Each monthly cycle includes four themed enrichment sessions.

🔹 Build It! LEGO® & Brick Engineering

Students explore structural design, spatial reasoning, and engineering concepts through guided LEGO® and brick-building challenges. Activities encourage creativity, planning, and collaborative problem-solving.

🔹 Code It! Early Robotics & Pre-Coding

Students engage in foundational coding concepts through sequencing activities, robotics exploration, and problem-solving challenges designed to introduce computational thinking.

🔹 Make It! Music & Rhythm Lab

Students explore rhythm, timing, coordination, and creative expression through interactive music-based activities and hands-on rhythm experiences.

🔹 Create It! Visual Art & Design

Students experiment with artistic techniques, design thinking, and creative expression through guided visual art projects.

The MPOWERME PEP Enrichment Series enhances student learning through hands-on, multisensory educational activities aligned with Florida learning standards in STEM, art, and music.

Each session supports growth in areas such as:

  • Fine motor development
    • Executive functioning
    • Social communication
    • Creativity and design thinking
    • Problem-solving

Students build confidence while practicing skills that support participation and engagement in both school and home learning environments.

Ages 5–18, registered under the Step Up for Students Parent Empowerment Program (PEP).
